Food/Activity Advice

Over Memorial Day Weekend my fiance and I will be in Boston for just one night, two days. We have reservations to stay at Westin Copley Place- we%26#39;ve never been to Boston before, just stopping through on a trip to a wedding...But wanted to know a good seafood place thats outdoors, great seafood and we can have a few drinks. Also, what to do during the day and outside, Harvard Square worth it? And does that take up a whole day? Any other help would also be much appreciated...Thanks:)

I assume when you want to sit outdoors for Seafood, that you mean on the Harbor. While this isn%26#39;t near your hotel, it%26#39;s certainly doable. Try Legal Seafood on Long Wharf or The Daily Catch at the South Boston Moakley Courthouse. Both have outdoor tables available with views of the water, although at this writing, they aren%26#39;t out yet for this year. Another choice might be Anthony%26#39;s Pier Four.

Yes, Harvard Square is worth it - a couple of hours will work; you have to include walking through Harvard Yard. BUT, since you%26#39;re only staying one night, spend the evening there (I guess after dinner) so you can do touring (like the Freedom Trail) during the day.

Plus you will be right on the subway line, you can take the Orange Line at Back Bay station to Downtown Crossing and change to the Red Line to Harvard square. Also take the Orange Line to Haymarket Station which would put you near Quincy Market.

Hi,

There%26#39;s also the Atlantic Fish Co. on Boylston Street, close to your hotel. I second AlanM%26#39;s recommendation for Harvard Square one day, but how about a Duck Tour on the other day? They leave from the nearby Prudential Center. It gives you a great overview of the city, and it%26#39;s fun.

If you want to be outside with a great view of the waterfront, Anthony%26#39;s Pier 4 is a great choice. It%26#39;s in the seaport district. It%26#39;s a pretty historic place. Not sure when they open their outdoor part. The decor is all 60s/70s but has been host to all kinds of celebs and political figures over the years.
