Shadey areas at Fenway

I%26#39;m planning to take in a game against the White Sox in July. Are any seats protected from the sun? Perhaps under an overhang?

Yes, but if you haven%26#39;t got tickets already, they are not readily available.

You%26#39;ll want to find Grandstand tickets, those will be under a roof. Look for higher rows to guarantee the shade.

There are also Pavillion Club seats that have some coverage, and also the EMC club which is airconditioned to take a break...but those seats are really expensive....

Of course the higher up your are in the grandstand, the less you can see of the field. And depending on what time the game is, there is no guarantee what sections will be in shade and which sections will have the sun beaming on you. . .

That is a weekend series, so I hope you already have tickets.

Alot of the seats are protected by the sun, but which seats specifically are covered depends on what time the game is. Different seats gets sun during afternoon and evening games.

Wow -- I know you guys are fanatical about baseball, but I had no idea I could be too late already. The search is on! Thanks for the information ~

About 90% of the season sells out the day the tickets go on sale.

If I can impose again: how does Infield Grandstand Section 26 Row 6 sound?

Wendy,

Sounds great. Third base side just past the dugout. Six rows back in the grandstand section might not be 100% sun-free but it%26#39;ll be close. Have fun.

Infield grandstand sections14-25 will be the best seats. They are covered. The worst seats in the house are outfield grandstand sections 2-5. The seats face left field and you%26#39;ll have to watch the game looking left. Good luck
