Arriving Boston around noon Friday, June1 - on our own until Saturday night (have family party in Needham) - boyfriend is set on having lunch or dinner at Cheers (we both loved the show) - is it worth it to have a meal there? Or should we just stop in for drinks and a snack.
Worth going to Cheers for lunch or dinner??
Food is prett ygood and so are prices. You won%26#39;t be ';wowed'; by the meal, but I have eaten there several times and been satisfied. If you are a fan of the show make sure to go to the one on Beacon Hill as that is where outside shots for the show were filmed.

Cheers looks nothing like the bar in the show and is usually packed with tourists. You might want to stop in but if you%26#39;re thinking of recreating the feeling of the show??? I don%26#39;t know. I went once and never again. Maybe it%26#39;s gotten better---someone out there is sure to know. What I found was a place packed with tourists that didn%26#39;t even look like the original. You can buy t-shirts and stuff there though...
Definitely what CoCoSandy said. The Faneuil Hall version looks like the set but the original bar itself bears no resemblance. It%26#39;s small and cramped and filled with tourists. I%26#39;d eat at the location in Faneuil Hall and get outside pics of the location on Beacon Street. It%26#39;s right across from the Public Garden.
... yes, I meant the one near Beacon Hill...
The Faneuil Hall one sounds like fun. Haen%26#39;t been...
Thanks for the responses! have to say, now we will probably have to go to both! LOL
We are staying on the wharf at Boston Yacht Haven - anyone know which one is closer to us??
