I need a direction going from Logan Airport to Wellesley, MA.
What is the simple and best way using public transportation?
Need a direction
There is no direct bus service to Wellesley, but there are two ways to get there by public transportation from Logan. Take the Silver Line from Logan to South Station and exit to the rail station (not the Red Line). There is commuter rail service to Wellesley via the Framingham-Worcester line. It doesn%26#39;t run very often outside of rush hours. The other way is to take the Silver Line to South Station, transfer to the Red Line (to Alewife), take it to Park Street, and transfer to the Green Line - D Riverside outbound and take that to the end of the line at Riverside where you can get a taxi to Wellesley. It is a reasonable taxi ride from Riverside. Taking the Green Line is slower than the commuter rail, but service is every 5 to10 minutes instead of every 1-2 hours. Check www.mbta.com for schedules.
Need a direction
If you are going to be staying in Wellesley, you really need a car. And if you need a car there, you may as well rent one to get there.
General driving directions to Wellesley:
- Follow signs to the Ted Williams Tunnel (I-90 west)
- Stay on I-90 west for approximately 20 minutes to I-95 South (which is also Route 128 South)
- Take the next exit to Route 16 West, which will take you into the center of Wellesley
As I will be staying at Wesllwy for a couple of days only, I will use the public transport eventhough it sounds a bit complicated to me.
Thanks for all the info. It helps a lot.
