pre-cruise advice

We will be in Boston July 21 for a 1 night pre-cruise stay. Our preferred method of booking a hotel is Priceline. I would appreciate any advice for an area to stay as well as the best advice for transportation from the airport to hotel then to the dock.

pre-cruise advice

Do you want a hotel that%26#39;s near where the cruise ships are? There%26#39;s a Westin and the new Seaport hotel close by. These are nice hotels but they%26#39;re not in the middle of Boston proper. I checked Priceline and these hotels have their own little area: waterfront. This isn%26#39;t that far from everything in Downtown but does feel far if you%26#39;re on foot. They have shuttles and the Silver Line can take you to South Station for transfers to other lines on the subway.

If you want to be in the thick of things, use the Priceline category for Boston/Charlestown.

The good thing about Boston is that nothing%26#39;s that far apart. You could enjoy a great day downtown and easily get to the Seaport or Westin or you could stay downtown and it wouldn%26#39;t be that hard to get to the waterfront. The T is the best way to get around. The one thing that can get in the way is rush-hour traffic. If you want to be sure to be close to the ship, then stay on the waterfront.
