Boston on a Budget in August

Can I get some suggestions on places to stay in Boston.

We will be there Aug. 18-21st after a whirlwind trip all over New England the previous week.

I would like to keep it within 150-200 a night but would pay more if there are none in this area that are not nice for that price.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

$150-200 is definitely at the low end in Boston, but since you are planning early you might have some options.

The Charlesmark Hotel gets rave reviews on this site and it says here that the ';average'; room price is $197. The location of this hotel is great. I would definitely look into it.

Hi,

Try the John Jeffries House, which has a very convenient location near Beacon Hill and the North End:

Also, the Omni Parker House is a great hotel, and they have been having some really good Internet specials from their website recently. It%26#39;s possible you might find a room there at or just above the $200 mark.

Otherwise, another option is Priceline. Try bidding $100 for a hotel room and it%26#39;s very possible you will get something. If not, it%26#39;s early enough that you can try again with higher bids, up to your $200 cutoff. I%26#39;m sure you can get a room at a nice hotel for that price, with Priceline.

hi,

try the Midtown Hotel on Huntington Ave.

What about the Bostonian?

It%26#39;s in a great location across the street from Quincy Market. I understand they%26#39;re going to be redoing most of the facility or have already started.

Hello...

I just put in a bid of $125 on Priceline for a DOWNTOWN BOSTON hotel and put in for 3 Stars. (a weekend in July) Not only did they accept the bid, but they upgraded me to a 4 star hotel by Faneuil Hall Marketplace. You may want to give Priceline a try!

Melissa

I would definately give priceline.com a try... I have 2 friends who have done it for 3 stars hotels and both recieved 4 star upgrades to beautiful hotels in Boston for great prices...

I did that on Priceline and got the Bostonian for $115 a night and I will be staying three nights there.... that will save some big bucks to go do other things in the town...THANKS FOR THE HELP

I have read posts about it being noisy... is there a certain side or level of the hotel I should request?

I AM SO EXCITED :)
