Directions to Long Wharf

What is the best way to get to Long Wharf from Marriott Copley? Thanks in advance--you Boston forumers are so helpful!

Directions to Long Wharf

Take the T....You can either jump on the Orange Line at Back Bay and switch to the Blue Line at State or jump on the green line at Copley and switch to the Blue at Govt%26#39; Ctr.

You want the Blue Line stop: Aquarium. It%26#39;s there... you%26#39;ll see all the harbor cruise boats, etc.

Directions to Long Wharf

I would take the Orange Line inbound from the Back Bay Station which is connected to the Mall at Copley Place and get off at State Street and walk down State Street to Long Wharf.

Either way. It%26#39;s a short walk from Gov%26#39;t Ctr too, if you prefer the Green Line....

:-)

Thanks! If I choose to take the orange and get off at State Street, how far is the walk? Which direction? (I think I%26#39;ll be better off if I don%26#39;t have to transfer lines!)

If you exit onto Washington St. turn right and walk one block to State Street and turn right and you will be looking straight ahead at the Long Wharf Marriott and the NE Aquarium. If you exit onto State Street you want turn right and follow State Street towards the Aquarium.....the walk is only a couple of blocks...very easy...

The State Street T station drops you at a funny intersection of State, Devonshire and Congress Streets. The building is the Old State House and it sits on an island of sorts. Look diagonally to your left and you%26#39;ll see Faneuil Hall. Directly ahead will be State Street, with traffic coming towards you. You%26#39;re going to basically walk east, toward the harbor. You can do this by walking down State Street or cut over and meander through the Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market area. When you get to Atlantic Avenue (which will run perpendicular to you) bear left a smidge and you%26#39;ll see the New England Aquarium and the harbor cruise boats moored. That%26#39;s Long Wharf.

If you do decide to be brave and transfer lines it%26#39;s quite simple. Once on the State Street platform, follow the signs for the Blue Line outbound to Wonderland. It%26#39;s 1 stop from there to Aquarium. The train signs indicate the end station of the line. In this case, you%26#39;re going toward Wonderland but getting off at Aquarium. The exit will put you at Long Wharf.
