fenway park area

I plan on taking the T to Fenway during the day for a tour. Is is safe to walk in that area alone?

It%26#39;s safe in the sense that it%26#39;s not gangbanger territory or anything like that. It%26#39;s the city, so... you%26#39;ll find panhandlers in Kenmore Square who may or may not approach you and some drunks, and if you%26#39;re a woman alone, someone (drunk) might say something outrageous, but all in all, it%26#39;s not considered a ';bad'; area.

On a game day, it%26#39;s mostly dads and kids and ordinary people having fun. If you%26#39;re walking around off-hours, there are a lot of bars and there%26#39;s a seedy element in Kenmore Square, but there are also BU students and working people.... it%26#39;s a mix.

Kenmore Square is fine. Not to worry. Enjoy the tour.

I have never had an issue walking solo in Kenmore Square especially in the middle of the day. As is true with any city be aware of your surroundings and you%26#39;ll be fine.

Very safe there will be many people in the area so you dont have to worry.
