Hotels near Logan airport

I will be flying out of Logan airport on Sat Sept 1, after vacationing in Maine. I plan on staying near Logan airport the night prior to departure and would appreciate any recommendations on places to stay overnight that would be within 30min of the airport. Ideally the hotel would have restraunts nearby and be safe to walk.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

There are several hotels with ';Logan'; and ';Revere'; in their names - you can do a search on those. Coming from Maine, Revere is the last city before east Boston, where the airport is located. Take 95 South to Route 1 South and follow the signs to Logan Airport.

Many choices as Alan stated one you might try is the Hampton Inn which is about 10 minutes away.

Others may disagree, but I think there are two kinds of airport hotels: those closer to the airport and of nicer quality and then the others that are a bit further out and a lower-tier hotel. Neither the ones right at the airport nor those in Revere are in areas that I%26#39;d consider walking-friendly. It%26#39;s not so much un-safe as it is inhospitable: busy roads, long stretches of industrial-type areas. The airport is in Eastie and both Eastie and Revere are working-class areas. You won%26#39;t find Newbury Street here. Some of us spend a lot of time (happily) in Revere, so...I%26#39;m not saying it%26#39;s an unfriendly place. It%26#39;s just not fancy.

Thanks to all for the info. After looking at the map Revere looks promising. If we were to arrive a day early is there public transportation into the Boston City Hall area from Revere? Any hotels near public transportation that you would suggest? Thought we might try and see some of the historical landmarks.

Once again thanks for the help.

It%26#39;s so easy--and fast--to take the Blue LIne subway to the Airport Station that you shouldn%26#39;t feel the need to stay AT the airport. Anywhere in town should be 30 minutes or less via the Blue Line subway to the airport.

Stay somewhere fun in town, enjoy the city, then take the subway to the airport.

Just two more places to consider....

There%26#39;s a lot of chain motels %26amp; hotels that are on the outskirts of Boston near Logan. There%26#39;s two places that I highly recommend for the night before your flight back home.

One of them is the Winthrop Arms Hotel located at 130 Grovers Avenue in Winthrop, MA. (617) 846-4000. The directions and very reasonable rates are right on their site. Their rooms are pretty nice too for the amount of money they want to stay here a night. The reason why I%26#39;m suggesting this place too is because their restaurant they have is out of this world good! In fact? It%26#39;s incredibly wonderful here for dinner, I%26#39;ve finally been there myself. You can view their site to see what I mean:

If you want to splurge and stay somewhere else instead that%26#39;s quite interesting and where the owners will highly recommend a few places for dinner near this B%26amp;B then here%26#39;s the information for you:

It%26#39;s the Diamond District Inn located at 142 Ocean St. Lynn, MA. and only 8 miles from downtown Boston yet even closer to Logan than you think, directions and rates are on their site. Breakfast is served on the veranda overlooking the ocean each morning.
