Need Suggestions... Adult's Birthday Party Ideas

My husband turns 35 in June. He%26#39;s 35 going on 12... in other words, a big kid that loves to have fun with friends.

I%26#39;d love to plan a surprise for him - his b%26#39;day conveniently falls on a Saturday.

Can anyone recommend a fun place - someplace akin to an adult version of Chuck E Cheese%26#39;s in the Boston vincinty... and/or other fun ideas? I don%26#39;t necessarily want to do an outing e.g. paintball, etc... I want something where we%26#39;re all together with food and drinks or some form of group entertainment.

Another thought is F1 in Braintee which offers food, drink and racing which is a hit with everyone I know who has tried it.

Just make sure you reserve a couple of lanes earlier in the day, and let them know what you%26#39;re planning, they may help you out a bit--especially if you want to serve food. Have a couple of his friends take him to Bukowski%26#39;s next door under the guise of ';trying to find a couple of obscure beers from the Bahamas.'; Then have these same guys say later on, ';hey let%26#39;s check out that King%26#39;s place. a buddy of mine from work is having a little something over there tonight.'; Your boyfriend says, ';no problem. let%26#39;s head over there after these beers.'; Meanwhile, you%26#39;re setting up shop at King%26#39;s--balloons, streamers, the whole nine yards. Next thing you know his buddy shoots you a text saying ';we%26#39;re on our way'; and all you have to do is yell ';surprise!';

1. I second KING%26#39;s. Its definately good drinks and bowling and whatnot.

2. I also recommend Limelight Stage and Studios on Tremont St. It is hilarious to watch your friends sing karaoke but you have the comfort of your own personal ';stage'; for your party. You can even have everything recorded. They are open 7 days a week. http://www.limelightboston.com/
