Walking distance Amtrak Back Bay station to Back Bay Hilton

Is it feasible to walk from the Back Bay Amtrak station to the Back Bay Hilton? If so, what route is the most convenient?

Will you have luggage?

With little or no luggage, it%26#39;s very doable...walk down Boylston until Dalton...just before Mass Ave.

If it%26#39;s raining or cold (or too hot for that mattter) or you just want to stay indoors, you can cut through Copley Mall, over to the Prudential Mall....through to the Sheraton, then out across the street to the Hilton. 15 - 20 min walk....might be tougher with lots of luggage though.

A little more detail....

When you leave the Back Bay Station, turn right onto Dartmouth Street. Continue into Copley Square and turn left onto Boylston Street (by the far side of the library). Continue past the Prudential Center and turn left onto Dalton Street. Back bay Hilton will be on your right. It%26#39;s across the from the Boston Sheraton, if that helps locate you.

Thanks for the quick detailed replies. These forums and their participants are excellent sources of information! It sounds like the walk from the train station to the hotel will be simple, especially with minimal luggage. One more question -- how long of a walk is it from the Back Bay Hilton to Fenway Park? We would like to avoid the crowded T, especially at the end of a Sox-Yankees game.

Hi,

It%26#39;s an easy walk; probably no more than ten minutes. Just head up Dalton Street towards Boylston. Take a left on Boylston and follow it over the tip of the Fens and take a right onto Yawkey Way.
