On the drive from Newport RI to P-Town, we were wondering what sites and towns you would pick and why you would pick them. We are looking for suggestions on places to see and things to do during that drive as there appears to be so much to see and do
Which Towns Would You Pick
This really depends on your specific interests and how much time you have. You could make a whole day of stopping at artists studios along the way or you might decide to take a lighthouse tour or you might want to hit as many antique shops or beaches or any number of things. Without knowing a little bit about what you’re looking for it’s hard to make suggestions because there is so much to do along the way.
I’m sure if you let everyone know how long your trip is and what your interests are you’ll get lots of good suggestions.
Which Towns Would You Pick
Well I guess I could have been more specific. We have a day to drive from Newport RI to P-Town and a Day to drive back. We can take as much time as we need on the drive back to RI. We do plan on seeing some of the lighthouses and National Sea shore but haven%26#39;t read anywhere what places are best for scenic beauty to take these in so I would appreciate suggestions on both beach locations and lightouses.
There are way to many Antique shops and Art galleries to see so we are only going to take a few of those in.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
Well...we prefer to take Rt. 6A right off the Sagamore bridge and travel thru the picture perfect towns all the way to Eastham. That is where you can pick which antique stores and restaurants interest you and stop. Can%26#39;t think of which road in Brewster you can cut across to Chatham but, once you travel down Main st.(and stop) drive along Shore Rd. and see how the other half lives. The beach in front of the Chatham Bars Inn did take a beating during a bad storm this year and trucks were everywhere last week. Continue on Shore which turns into the 28 thru Orleans...another picturesque drive passing ponds, bogs and traditional Cape homes. It will let you out at the Orleans Rotary and you can continue on to Fort Hill and the National Seashore!
