My husband and I have an anniversary trip planned next weekend to Boston. We want to fit one show in (definitley comedy). I think I%26#39;ve narrowed it down to Blue Man Group or Boston Improv. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Boston Trip- Blue Man Group or Boston Improv???
Hi,
Those two shows are so entirely different, it%26#39;s difficult to compare one to the other. The Blue Man Group is an ';experience';. There%26#39;s all sorts of things going on, and the chance to get soaking wet too.
The Boston Improv is a lot of fun. The comedians usually do a good job of working with the ideas thrown out from the audience and it%26#39;s an enjoyable evening.
I guess, if it were my only night in Boston, and I wasn%26#39;t living near a production of Blue Man, I%26#39;d go see it. You will really enjoy it.
Boston Trip- Blue Man Group or Boston Improv???
HI,
I%26#39;m going to go with the Improv. How these folks come up with material so quickly is astounding...and hilarious.
Where is the Boston Improv located?
Thanks.
Hey beach,
sorry. we know it as ';the improv,'; but the full name is the Improv Asylum and it%26#39;s located in the North End--Boston%26#39;s Italian-American section. It%26#39;s on the end of Hanover Street on the Cross Street/ Haymarket side. Visit improvasylum.com.
My vote goes to BMG. It about the most fun you can have for a $50 buck ticket. Also there is not a bad seat in the house.
Thanks for the information on the Improv. We may check it out when we are in town.
Donna
