This resort is having a Girlfriend%26#39;s themed weekend this June. The reviews I%26#39;ve read (on tripadvisor) about the resort are very mixed. It seems like families with children really like it. The resort%26#39;s description of the weekend sounds great. The women in my group (ages 30 - 50) certainly llike children and we are not huge partiers, but we are hoping for a more adult experience. Has anyone been to this resort for a girlfriend%26#39;s weekend? Anyone have any advice/comments?

Red Jacket Resort for girlfriend's weekend
By now you%26#39;ve probably already made your decision, but we had a terrible time at the Red Jacket at the end of the season in 2005. We happen to be a family with a small child and we really would never recommend this place to anyone other than a college kid. It%26#39;s overpriced, not well maintained and does have a party atmosphere (but more like a fraternity party).
What I have (since) found out from locals from the Cape is that the developer has also had a poor relationship with people from the area.
I think you girls would have a better time at a B%26amp;B or a more upscale hotel. These are places a family with small children might avoid because our kids our too noisy and active to share a bathroom with strangers at a B%26amp;B for a week and we are already spending a lot on beach toys so we wouldn%26#39;t splurge for the luxury hotel.
Last year the girls weekend was well attended and everyone had tons of fun. There were no kids around primarliy most of the rooms were occupied by attendees of the girls weekend. The activities were plentifull, the resort did a great job thinking of most everything to make it enjoyable, comedians, Martini Bar, Movies, seminars, yoga. It was the best. We are going back this June!
