Chic, fashion stores in Boston

Where can one find chic, avant-garde boutique in Boston. I am only interested in small or medium size shops with a creative selection of clothes for women. Please include addresses and telephone numbers, if possible. Thanks

Aquascutum located at 560 Boylston St. (617) 262-0066.

Marc Jacobs at 81 Newbury St. (617) 425-0707.

You%26#39;ll enjoy strolling on Newbury Street. It has many little boutiques and cafes. Also Copley Place Mall has many upscale stores with ccreative clothes.

Well, I%26#39;m not sure how avant-garde these are, but maybe others can help...but they are smaller boutiques/areas of the city with smaller shops.

Charles Street in Beacon Hill. Wish is one example.

Mint Julep is another to try. They have a location in Harvard Square (Church Street) and Brookline (on Beacon Street in Coolidge Corner).

Jasmine Sola is a local ';chain'; boutique. It%26#39;s larger than the others, and more oriented to teens/20s. They have a store on Newbury Street... also one in Harvard Square, in the Prudential Center Mall, and on Commonwealth Ave in Brighton.

As others have said, Newbury St in general... again, for younger clothing, you can try LF, which is on the Massachusetts Ave side of Newbury St. Also Stil: http://stilinc.com/

And my last suggestion: There are some unique shops as well in the South End of Boston. Try Turtle, Parlor, Sara Campbell. See http://www.sowaartwalk.com/stores.htm for addresses.
