drive on the beach ???

where can we 4-wheel drive on the beach... have done it on MV but I was told you could also go somewhere in Truro??? true??? where???

drive on the beach ???

Several places on the Cape:

Sandy Neck in Barnstable/Sandwich

Dennis

Nauset Beach

Truro

Your best bet would be to call the town halls to find out if they have daily/weekly passes and what is required (usually a jack, jack board, tow rope, shovel, tire guage etc....

drive on the beach ???

Thanks for the info milemarker0 ...have you driven on any of these beaches? out of that list I%26#39;ve only been to Truro and I love it there :)

Used to go out to Sandy Neck and Dennis (Chapin Beach)

Not the same as the Truro area, but nice still the same....Sandy neck gets very crowded, and during the day can really just be a sandy parking lot.....but in the eve%26#39;s and off season, or if you go down far enough it%26#39;s nice.

Oh, and Nauset beach sould be similar to Truro....

Thanks again milemarker0 :)

To go on any of the National Seashore beaches you need a pass from the Park Service. Go to www.nps.gov/caco for details. Keep in mind that any of the National Seashore beaches that have plovers nesting or that have had significant damage for the last nor%26#39;easter (like parts of Nause Beach) may be restricted or closed all together to vehicular traffic for part of the season.

I was wondering myself about the environmental impact of this, even in areas where it%26#39;s allowed. There are lots of little critters all around...
