Hi There,
You can spend the day in MV. It only takes 45 min to get there. There are five towns on MV and you can try to decide what you want to see in advance and take their shuttle. www.myv.com, www.steamshipauthority.com, www.islandqueen.com, www.falmouthferry.com.
Since you%26#39;ll want a special restaurant you may be best accommodated by describing what you are looking for to your Inn hosts the Bakers as they certainly will be able to offer you some excellent suggestions. You should not have too much trouble getting reservations during May. Isn%26#39;t married life great!!

I agree with CapeCodCharlie, M/V is easily done in one day. As far as a restaurant I would recommend the Nimrod Restaurant which we discovered on our last trip to Falmouth. http://www.thenimrod.com/
We haven%26#39;t yet stayed at the Palmer house but did take the time to tour it on our last visit and it looked real nice. Falmouth is our favorite area of the Cape.

Hi there,
Congrats on your anniversary.
There are a lot of great restaurants in Falmouth... mostly right on Main St, just a short walk from Palmer House Inn. Martha Vineyard is a great day trip and you should definitley spend an afternoon on Falmouth Main St as well... there are a lot of great boutiques to shop at!
La Cucina del Mar is a fairly new Italian restaunt - quaint romantic atmosphere and really great food!
Roo Bar is a couple doors down... modern american cusine
Flying Bridge is about a mile away on the harbour... nice restaurant, the food is typical cape cod seafood but the view is gorgeous
You could also go to Woods Hole which is a couple miles down the road there is the Fishmonger and the Landfall, among others... all great seafood restaurants right on the water!
Enjoy!
