Going to the Red Sox game this Saturday w/ hubby, 17 year old son and his girlfriend.

Any fun places near Fenway or in Backbay for dinner after the game? We like Italian, Seafood, Mexican. Thanks.

Hi Janiekins,

The Park Drive/Feneway/Kenmore area is a melting pot(pun intended) of restaurants. what%26#39;s great is that it%26#39;s never too crowded. the crowds are there for the sox games mostly. I mean, have you ever seen a bunch of frat guys say to one another, ';guys let%26#39;s get fired up for the big game. who%26#39;s up for someThai?!'; no. they go to the beer-swilling spots like baseball tavern, boston billiards, etc. before the games. anyway...

for italian there%26#39;s Canestaro%26#39;s on Peterborough

for seafood there%26#39;s great bay at the hotel commonwealth (big bucks)

for mexican there%26#39;s el pelon taqueria on peterborough. enjoy.

Hi,

For Mexican, Sol Azteca on Beacon St. near Park Drive, is excellent. For Italian food, Sorentos, on Peterborough St., or Trattoria Toscana, on Jersey St. in the Fenway, are both good.

Eastern Standard, in Kenmore Sq. at the Hotel Commonwealth, is also very good, and would cover the seafood or Italian bases (it%26#39;s got a variety, but excellent seafood options).
