North End Advice Please!!!

I know there have been a thousand posts on this forum re: food in the North End.

The reason I write is to be more specific.

I%26#39;m planning to go to the Improv Asylum on a Sat night in June with a largeish group of friends (about 15 probably) to surpirse my husband for his 35th.

Here%26#39;s what I%26#39;m looking for:

North End delicious, fun, laid back, affordable, group friendly.

Ideas?? Thanks very much in advance! I love the advice I get here. =)

North End Advice Please!!!

Hi,

To be honest, affordable and North End generally don%26#39;t go together. It%26#39;s a pricey place to eat dinner.

However, La Summa (couldn%26#39;t guess I%26#39;d mention that, huh?) would fit the bill, and they take reservations. They have enough space to seat a group that size comfortably.

The other idea is Antico Forno, which has excellent food, and also takes reservations. It%26#39;s a small place, but they probably could fit your group, with some advance notice.

I%26#39;ve been to both, they%26#39;re both excellent, especially La Summa%26#39;s! I want to hit that place again this summer for sure.

Another wonderful place is Mamma Maria%26#39;s. They have private dining for groups and do a great job with it from what I understand. One of the rooms that you could check on to see if it%26#39;s available is the Puccini room? If not, check to see if the LaTerrazza room is available for that night.

Good luck, you%26#39;re going to have an amazing dinner no matter where you go in that North End, it%26#39;s a fact! I actually don%26#39;t usually say I have a favorite, although La Summa%26#39;s is right at the top of the list for me these days after going there! This Mamma Maria%26#39;s was excellent too. A really good site to check out is this one below, it%26#39;ll give you each website in alphabetical order, their #%26#39;s, menu%26#39;s etc...

Good luck and have a wonderful time!

I hope you plan on taking the %26#39;T%26#39; parking in that area is really bad.
