great hotels near Faneuil Hall

My mother and I will be coming to Boston in Aug. We would like to find a nice hotel near the Faneul Hall or Freedom Trail. We are not looking to pay over $250 a night. If anyone could offer us suggestions we would appreciate it.

Two hotels in the Faneuil Hall area that fit your budget:

The Omni Parker House. Great hotel, location and rates (sometimes). Easily walkable to Faneuil Hall.

Hilton Boston Financial District. Lots of restaurants around, and a couple of blocks from Faneuil Hall.

Stayed in the Hilton near Faneul Hall and loved every minute of it. We found it very central for what we required. We payed around $200 in November

I%26#39;d add the Marriott Long Wharf, which my cousin loved when she visited.

Two other ideas for hotels within a block of Quincy Market:

Marriott Custom House, and the Millenium Bostonian. However, both hotels might be over your price range. You should check their websites for prices and any specials they might be running.

I have always been a fan of the Long Wharf Marriott, love the waterfront location and only a stones throw from Fanieul Hall Marketplace.

In another posting on the forum, from earlier today, someone won a Priceline bid of $125/night for the Millenium Bostonian, which is directly across the street from Faneuil Hall, and is a very nice hotel.

You might want to try Priceline yourself.
