Hotel Commonwealth.....
If you%26#39;re daring, there%26#39;s a Howard Johnsons near there as well.....any particular reason why it has to be near landsdowne, as opposed to the back bay....?

The room is for my college aged daughter, I made the reservation at Hyatt Regency Cambridge, but it looks like the Hyatt is inconvenient (am I right?). They wanted to be in that area for the nightife, is a backbay hotel good also? Do you have any recommendations? thanks, deb
Hyatt Cambridge isn%26#39;t too bad, but they%26#39;d most likely need to cab it to Landsdowne Street area.
Back Bay has several hotel choices, and more to do (shopping, eating, bars, etc) right outside their door....and a short cab/T-ride to Kenmore and Landsdowne or not too bad of a walk if they%26#39;re up for it and the weather%26#39;s nice...
Hyatt, Hilton, Mariott, Westin, Sheraton are all in the same general area of the Back Bay.
Milemarker is right. There are lots of hotel options in the Back Bay, with the ';prime'; area being near Copley Square. You%26#39;ll find all kinds of shopping, restaurants, etc. in that area. The area near Landsdown Street just isn%26#39;t of the same calibre.
The Hyatt Regency Cambridge looks nice and has beautiful views, but is not convenient for walking to Boston and is not near the ';T';, so you%26#39;re really stuck with taxis.
hi deb,
what%26#39;s your price range? we can narrow it down a bit if we know what you%26#39;re limit is.
The Sheraton Boston or the Back Bay Hilton on Dalton Street are only a short walk to Lansdowne Street and the Commonwealth Hotel in Kenmore Square is even closer.
