So I am a college student and I had the idea to just head up to cape cod this summer, find a job, a place to say, and see what happens. Presumably Provincetown because i don%26#39;t have a car and I hear its a fun place that is easy to get around. But I have never been, and have no idea what I%26#39;m getting into! I know P-town is a considered a major gay resort, which is totally fine with me, but is it really difficult to find straight people (well, women) to spend time with?--I assume its not that big of a deal but I think it might be a little frustrating to be the only straight guy for miles.
Does this seem like a plausible plan--is it difficult to find seasonal work / housing on short notice in P-town or surrounding areas?
Thanks for your advice!
Summer in P-town?
There are lots of straight people, both male and female, in Provincetown. If you%26#39;re interested in women, the fact that a larger percentage of the men are gay can only improve your chances by cutting down the competition. As in any resort area, there are a huge number of seasonal jobs available. More and more tend to be filled by foreign workers, but low numbers of temporary visas issued this year will mean many jobs will be open. Your problem will not be finding work but finding reasonable housing. Unfortunately I can%26#39;t be of much help with advice on that score.
