Where to stay in Boston?

I am going to a wedding in the Boston area in August and I have never been there. Where is the hippest area to stay. I want to be walking distance to restaurants, clubs, bars and shopping. What do you recommend? A friend told me the Hyatt was in the area I want, but I need more advise. Which area and which hotel? Thanks

Hi Mr. Travel,

The hippest area in Boston? That%26#39;s easy--wherever I%26#39;m at! But seriously, Back Bay is a pretty hip section full of bars, restaurants, and shopping (Newbury Street). It%26#39;s also full of great hotels. Look at the hotels section on this site and the first four--Jury%26#39;s, Hotel Commonwealth, the Charlesmark, and the Courtyard Boston Copley Square--all fit your needs. For more boutique/high-end hotels check out XV Beacon, the Onyx, and Nine Zero. The Hyatt? It%26#39;s close to Downtown Crossing (shopping) but otherwise it%26#39;s nestled in a dingy area bewtween Downtown Crossing and Chinatown.

Hi,

For ';hip';, Back Bay and South End are it. You can stay at the Westin Copley Place or Marriott Copley Place, or Jury%26#39;s, and be right on the border of both. It would be easy walking distance to the hot spots on Tremont St. like 28 Degrees and Masa, as well as the trendy places on Boylston St. and in Park Square.

I don%26#39;t know which Hyatt you are referring to, but none of the ones in the area are where you%26#39;d want to be, so I wouldn%26#39;t recommend it.
