We are going to be driving from Ogunquit ME to Chatham in Cape Cod on Friday 13th July.

What is the best time of day to do this so that we can avoid the heavy traffic going to the Cape

Seriously, Cape traffic on a Friday affects the southbound traffic as far north as Hanover.

So if we leave Ogunquit at about 9:30 am , the traffic shouldn%26#39;t be that bad heading for Chatham ????

You should leave Ogunquit between 8:30 -10:00 . This timing should have you beat the morning rush hours on 95 - 495 and 93.

Leaving a 10:00 you should be through Boston BY 12:30

Don%26#39;t forget the old Sagamore Rotary is gone. The new configuration has not seen summer traffic yet, but I bet it will be a major improvement alleviating the backups at the Sagamore Bridge.

CoCo I commute Btree to Plymouth and have since 78. These days going south is hit or miss, some days straight shot; others stopped as soon as you get on at SS Plaza / Rt 37. People trying to head north into Boston that enter at the SS Plaza exit create a disaster. Your backups begin long before Hanover.

Only about 5 more years till retirement!!!!
