Plymouth , MA Hotels

We will be visiting Plymouth in early June with our two kids ( 7 and 10). What is the best hotels/motels for family vacation there? We have considered the Radisson,John Carver, and Pilgram Sands. Any suggestions?

How long are you planning your vacation for and what do you hope to see? If you will be touring Boston, I would recommend you find something closer to the city.

We are also staying in Plymouth for our trip to Boston. Our main reason is that Boston is prohibitively expensive! The cheapest room I could find in Boston proper was over $200/night, at least for a hotel with decent reviews in an area close to all the attractions. I got the Radisson Plymouth Harbor for $99/night during the second week of April by using Priceline. Without Priceline, even that was going to be over $140/night. My main objective was being close to something scenic, like one of the harbors, since we love the ocean. I don%26#39;t mind driving or riding the T if it means that we can be in a scenic area. We are also going to Cape Cod and Newport, so it wasn%26#39;t critical that we stay in Boston proper.

We will be staying for 6 days. We want to visit Cape Cod, MayflowerII, the lobster cruise, pirate cruise, Plymouth Plantation, Woods Hole, Salem, and Boston. I have done a lot of reseach on Plymouth, but not much on Boston. Any must sees with kids? Thanks for your comments!

It is wonderful to hear that you will be using Plymouth as a hub for your trip.

The Best Western Cold Spring is a great hotel. I had family stay there last summer and they loved it. It is centrally located in Plymouth and spread out over a bit of land! I know that most rooms have a fridge, and they serve a continental breakfast every morning. Also, the have an outdoor heated pool that looks over to Cape Cod Bay. An important note having two young children, Nelson St. Park is only a 3 minute walk from there.

You might also want to check out the Best Western Cold Spring. It is a very well-maintained hotel that is an excellent value. The staff members are exceptionally friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. A free continental breakfast is offered each morning and the hotel has an outdoor pool. I think that you would enjoy staying at this hotel. Hope this helps.

Is it warm enough in Plymouth in late May / early June to use an outdoor pool?

Average temperatures at that time range from 60 to 70 degrees so I would suggest not.
