travel from Camden to Boston

I was wondering the same thing!

americagirl,

FYI....In the States, it is quite common to find cities and towns by the same name in multiple states. I did a quick search and found that there are 23 towns/cities called Camden ! That must be very confusing to visitors !

Westernmass

In a previous posting, Americagirl mentioned that she and her daughter were visiting Presque Isle, so I think it%26#39;s safe to assume she%26#39;s coming in from Maine.

sorry, I mean Camden in Maine.

You can travel from Camden, Maine to Boston by taking AMTRAK (the train); it%26#39;s called the ';Downeaster'; and you%26#39;re in luck, you%26#39;ll have a train station in Camden/Rockport CDN is the abbreviation for it on the AMTRAK site. It takes 2 hours %26amp; 30 minutes and will cost approximately $43. You could also instead take a bus down to Boston if you didn%26#39;t want to take the train. Either way would be pretty convenient. If you take the train, you%26#39;d arrive at Boston%26#39;s North Station and the MBTA (the ';T) is right outside the door from North Station%26#39;s complex. Go to this site:

www.mbta.com

You%26#39;ll be able to either walk to North Station from the North Station complex, to the Quincy Market or any where else for that matter. To Beacon Hill, the Boston Common and the Public Gardens from here, or you could hop on the MBTA train at North Station and head to the Back Bay for Copley Place, the Pru shops and the Newbury St. area of Boston. That%26#39;s all up to you and your schedule and planning.

Good luck and have a wonderful time visiting Boston!

Thank you for your answer.do I need a reservation or can I decided

what day I wanna leave when I am there.

I would say you%26#39;re all set, you can go to the train depot and buy your ticket then OR the bus terminal, whatever you%26#39;re going to take down from there. I usually will get it a day ahead, just in case when I%26#39;m taking the train or a bus in to Boston from Newburyport. You never know how crowded it%26#39;s going to be that day you%26#39;re actually leaving....
