Although I grew up in Ireland and my brother-in-law is from Belfast I can%26#39;t help you with places to stay in Northern Ireland. (Midlands in Ireland is another story),

As for Cape Cod, I suggest the Irish Village in Yarmouth. It%26#39;s very reasonable. It%26#39;s clean and definetly not fancy (in fact I doubt that anything has been changed since the 1950%26#39;s and it was basic furniture then.) The first time we went there, we pulled into the parking lot and decided that we would stay only one night in this dive and then move on. But since we had such a great night we decided to stay the week and have been going back every year since.

The Irish Village is really a motel, the staff are extra friendly. Meals are included and the food is quite good. There is a bar/dance hall in the hotel and they do have nightly entertainment but if you are used to 5 star bands you won%26#39;t be entertained. The hotel seems to cater to extreme%26#39;s -- parents with young children and middle-aged people.

If you like to holiday in ritzy, expensive hotels then The Irish Village is not for you but if you just want a clean, friendly place to put your head down each night then I suggest you go there.
