Taxi from the Airport

Hi All,

Just a quick question - what colour are the ';official'; taxis outside the airport?

Also, are there always plenty of taxis outside the airport - we will arrive about 3.30pm next Friday?

they are all different colors. there are always taxis at the airport. where are you going in boston. your hotel might actually have a shuttle. call the hotel and ask them.

You%26#39;ll have no problem finding a ';safe'; cab at the airport, there are plenty of them. You%26#39;ll find that roughly it%26#39;ll cost you around $20 + tip to get to downtown Boston from the airport.

Each airport terminal has a taxi stand. Wait in line and someone will direct you to a waiting taxi and make sure that it is a regulated taxi. All regulated taxis have posted boston licences and licence numbers for passengers in the back seat as well as meters. Note that taxis from the airport only use the meter if they are going 12 miles are less. Over 12 miles is a fixed price. Also, there is an additional fee for the toll out of the airport for taxis but information on this will be posted in the taxi.

Look for ';Quick Jump'; then click on Getting from Logan

Pick TAXI underneath ';Type of Transportation'; area.

Scroll and read the Meter Rates and then scroll further down and it%26#39;l list the majority of the Hotels in Boston and what you%26#39;d pay from Logan to these Hotels. It%26#39;s not including the tip.

If you have any any type of trouble with any of the following Taxi%26#39;s that you need to make sure you ONLY step foot in to, then make sure you call the Boston Police Department%26#39;s Hackney Division at 617 343-4475 as soon as you can to make them aware of it.

Thought it best to check - glad I did - I have to admit I thought they would be like New York yellow cabs or London Black cabs all one colour!!!!!
