visiting cape cod in november 07

hi

my wife and i intend to visit cape cod and the boston areas in the second week of nov 07. we come from the tropics and write to enquire about the possible weather conditions around that period of time.

we realise that it is difficult to give precise indications about the weather but some sort of guide line will be appreciated so that we can prepare ourselves accordingly.

of course we welcome suggestions about dining places and activities that one can engage in.

regards

November can be the start of Winter, be cold and rainy, or very pleasant - or probably both! However, one thing is clear: there won%26#39;t be a lot to do on Cape Cod at that time of year. Yes, you can do a ';ride-by'; or a walk along the Cape Cod National Seashore, do some shopping and dining in Provincetown, and take a ride along Route 6A, but alot will be closed and you know, obviously, it%26#39;s not beach weather.

Boston CAN be very pleasant at that time, but we never know. Take layers. A warm jacket, sweater, even gloves (and hope you don%26#39;t need them), rain gear.

What were your expectations to see in both places?

It can often be gray and cold in November.

For the last five years we have gone to the Cape in Nov. and it seems to us that the nice weather (and by that I do not mean tropical temperatures) window closes right at Thanksgiving which is Nov. 22 in 07. There are still lots of things to do. If you want to know what and what will suit you then there is an excellent guide book that you can get. It has symbols next to the year round items too. I think you can order it from Amazon.com. I have the sixth edition but the seventh and most recent edition was due out this month. $20. An Explorer%26#39;s Guide: Cape Cod, Martha%26#39;s Vineyard %26amp; Nantucket by Kim Grant.
