Portland ME to Cape Cod

Would it be too much driving to go from Portland Maine to Cape Cod in one morning, on a Wednesday? Would we be limited on only seeing Hyannis?

We thought we%26#39;d spend one night then go back into Boston the next day.

We%26#39;ll be up there the first week in June, but I%26#39;m kinda getting freaked out on how to gauge the driving distance vs. time in all of New England. We want to see a lot in a short time, but don%26#39;t want to overdo it.

Portland ME to Cape Cod

Personally, I think that%26#39;s a lot of driving for just one day on the Cape. You%26#39;ll be passing right through Boston, so how about stopping in Boston - and staying there!! If you must see Cape Cod, you can take a ferry from Boston to Provincetown and make a day trip of it. I think that would make much more sense and not have you spending your vacation in the car.
