Sorry for late posting, had trip planned and had to come back and deal w/appliances that died from electrical surge when power came back on from Ike.
Here goes:
Left Friday afternoon about 1:00, got to Harrah%26#39;s Tunica about 4:00. Harrah%26#39;s had comped both Friday and Saturday night and all meals. Stayed in Veranda, check in was fine, no line, had a room on 5th floor. Once we figured out you have to put your room key in slot in elevator to push your floor button, we were good, lol. Nice room, king bed, flat screen TV, was clean.
Went over to casino to play for a little while -- it was packed! Noticed that there seemed to be numerous people (don%26#39;t know if they were locals or what), that were playing two and three machines at at time. Was hard to find anywhere to play.
Went back to room and ordered room service (it is available until 1:00 a.m.). Surprisingly, was fast service, food was hot (got burgers and fries), brought little bottles of all condiments, etc., needless to say she got a nice tip! Food was good.
Slept late Saturday morning, god, I love those blackout curtains! Went back to casino and played for a little while. DH had gone a little crazy on Friday night (he was celebrating the big 5-0) and was down. We are mostly slot players, by no means big gamblers, but he was just stupid w/his on Friday. Up and down so we decided to check out Paula Deen buffet -- it was free, lol. Talk about carb and butter overload!! It was good, had a good selection of salads, southern food, seafood, barbeque, etc. Had a good selection of sugar free desserts and others, had to try a few of each.
Went back to room to watch Arkansas game (not a good idea, lol), I read a book. Took a nap and then had a few beers in room and got ready to go back to casino.
Was not near as crowded as Friday night, managed to play Wizard of Oz slots (my favorite, lol) and I saw DH hit for $500 w/3 credits and all lines (30)! He was having a blast! I won a little on big Wheel of Fortune (had 2 credits and hit 10000 times bet) was a little over $200. We stayed out entirely too late, cocktail waitress service was good, but we had better luck with the carts that came down the main aisles. Could get a beer a lot easier.
Got something to eat at the 24 hour Blues Cafe -- both got a rib dinner w/2 sides, again was comped. It was really pretty good, don%26#39;t know what I was expecting, but ribs were tender, service was good, etc.
Ended up not going to bed until 4:00 a.m. Sunday morning knowing we had to check out and drive 2 1/2 hours, lol, was tough!
My thoughts overall -- we go to Vegas about once a year and basically followed the same tipping rules (bell hop, housekeeping, cocktail waitresses, etc.), and we could not have asked for better service. Everyone was nice, friendly and tried to accommodate us.
Never thought I would hear this, but DH has said that he would be willing to go back. Next time we%26#39;re going to try Horseshoe and Sheraton for gambling just to see what it%26#39;s like.
Sorry, for length, just had a good weekend! Thanks for reading.

Thank you for posting your trip report. It sounds like you had a really good time.
Thanks for all the replies -- we really enjoyed ourselves -- DH was too quick to compare to Vegas (there is no comparison!). Was a nice short trip, would do again. And yes, Ducky, now that we know the elevator trick, lol, we can even act like we know what we%26#39;re doing!!
Good luck and enjoyment to all who are heading that way!
